Dell has just announced a printer with a bold claim to fame: they claim that the Dell 5130cdn is the fastest office color later printer in the world. The claimed speed for this printer is 47 pages a minute. The Dell 5130cdn The 5130cdn can produce prints at this speed in both color and black and white, with a resolution of 1200 by 1200 dots per inch (dpi). Designed for small to medium sized offices, the printer also supports a new color management system called ColorbyDell, which produces more saturated color and improved resolution. Dell also claims that the printer has a very low cost per page of 1.04 cents for black and white and 7.71 cents per page for color. The 5130cdn will cost from $1549, and is available now.   The Dell 7130cdn Also announced was the 7130cdn, the first printer by the company to use a LED-based printing system. This printer can print tablod-sized prints with Pantone approved color accuracy. Dell also claims it can produce a first print in as little as 6.5 seconds, and has a print speed of 35 page per minute. The 7130cdn costs $2799, and will be available in December.
