The Canon Selphy CP730 is a mid-range dye-sublimation compact photo printer that sports more editing functions than most. Users can crop and apply color effects to images directly in the printer on the included 2-inch LCD screen, capabilities that put it above most of the other models in the CP range. The CP730 can also print from media cards or wirelessly from IrDA devices; optional accessories are available for Bluetooth devices and Canon’s Digital ELPH. However, we found weak image quality and shoddy construction that limit the appeal; unless you need the portability, most users might want to look elsewhere. The printer retails for $149.99.
