Dogs Sample
x This print of a two cute dogs has lots of small, complex details around the face and some bright colors. Printed onto Canon Photo Paper Pro II, with our custom profile at a size of approximately 4 by 6 inches. Click on the image for the full scan at 300 dpi.

The origional photo can be downloaded here.

x x x x These crops from the image show how it does a decent job with detail, altough it is not perfect; look at how the white hairs around the muzzle are lost.

Space Sample
x This shot of Io above the clouds of Jupiter taken by the Galilieio probe is another good test of a printer: it has a wide range of tones and also a lot of detail. The print is decent, but a little muddy: the clouds lack some of the impact of the origional. Printed onto Canon Photo Paper Pro II, with our custom profile. Click on the image for the full scan at 300 dpi. The origional photo can be downloaded here.

Still life Sample
x This still life is used to test cameras by our sister site digitalcamerainfo.com. This contains a number of elements that test a printer, such as the fine detail in the figurines and the colors in the chart. Here, you can see how the details in the spiral chart hold up well, and how the highlights of the beats in the cup are also well pritned. The origional photo was taken with a Nikon D3x and can be downloaded here.

Plain Paper Sample
x Our final sample is a typical office document printed onto plain paper, printed using the best quality settings the printer offers for printing onto standard paper and scanned at 300dpi. As you can see from the enlargement, there was some bleeding of the black ink on the plain paper: the edges of the text are slightly fuzzy where the ink has spread into the paper.
x x x x However, this is no worse than other inkjet printers that we've seen.
